Why I’m Sweating with Pride
Kia ora e te whānau!
I'm thrilled to be taking part in Sweat with Pride for the 3rd year in a row! As many of you know, my heart and soul is in Safe Gains, the weekly joyful movement session for our rainbow whānau in Ōtautahi. This is why Sweat with Pride is so important to me - it's everything I'm passionate about all rolled into one!
LGBTQIA+ Kiwis face higher rates of mental illness, suicide, and STIs like syphilis, mpox, and HIV. Right now, schools, workplaces, and even doctors’ offices aren’t safe for many in our communities and it’s putting lives at risk.
This June, we are doing the mahi to raise money for life-changing Rainbow support services.
