Why Iā€™m Sweating with Pride

At a time when the trans community's access to self-affirming healthcare and basic public amenities are under attack from our own government, and transphobic pressure groups seem to be increasingly emboldened...

...when the rhetoric of those pressure groups has led to measurable increases in violent assaults against SOGIESC diverse individuals...

...when young SOGIESC diverse people continue to be over-represented in the statistics for mental ill-health and suicide...

...I feel it's important for me to do my part to help fund the charitable organisations that are trying to make people's lives better.

Iā€™m taking on Sweat with Pride this June to raise money for RainbowYOUTH, OutLine and InsideOUT, and I hope you'll donate to help me with my fundraising. I'll be exercising for at least 21 minutes EVERY SINGLE DAY in June, with brisk uphill walks at work and at home. And as anyone who knows me well can attest, I don't like to exercise! Photos will be posted!

This cause means a lot to me, and Iā€™d be grateful if you could chip in to help me fund life-changing mental, physical and sexual health services for Rainbow New Zealanders. Every little helps.
